October 21-23, 2016 – Join the Purple Ink Writers and friends at Wizard World Tulsa, a Comic Con of epic proportions. For the third year in a row, Inkers M.A. Chiappetta and Donna A. Leahey will be appearing on various panels throughout the weekend with a variety of Inker pals. And we’ll be selling our books alongside Inker pal Robert Soul in Artist Alley, so come by and visit our booth and let us sign your copies of our books.
October 8, 2016 – We will be at Tulsa bookstore and art deco destination, Decopolis, for a book signing during their October Bookfest. Find us there from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then head to a downtown bar for a beer and a chance to read our books. Plus, you might just catch M.A. Chiappetta dressed as a flapper, ready to take selfies with you. Is there a better way to spend an evening? We think not!
May 2016 – M.A. Chiappetta has gathered a variety of her short stories, some previously published and others never-before-seen, in Freaks and Other Monsters, available on Amazon and CreateSpace.
April 2016 – Margaret Perdue’s short stories have been collected in A Curious Collection, now available on Amazon.
March 2016 – Our third anthology, Dark and Dangerous Things III, is officially available on Amazon and CreateSpace. It’s our best to date, featuring new Inker pals Robert Soul, Adrean Messmer and Jack Burgos (whose award-winning story “Xinsheng” is included in the collection).
January 2016 – Donna A. Leahey has a short story published in the anthology Now Playing in Theater B, available on Amazon.
October 2015 – We’ve had a lot of good writers chi heading our way lately. Purple ink Writers will be appearing at Needful Things in Owasso, OK, for a book signing on Halloween. We’ll have copies of our two Dark and Dangerous Things anthologies, plus Donna’s short story collection Duped, and Meg’s two Gothic ghost stories, Wharton Rectory and Revelation at St. Dominics. Michele will have news on when her upcoming paranormal romance novella, If Only You Could Bottle That, will be available for purchase. Come out and see us! We’ll have cookies too! October 2015 – We’re doing a panel at Wizard World Comic Con Tulsa for the second year in a row and expecting a great turnout! This year, we’re bringing back our good friend Adrean Messmer of A Murder of Storytellers, plus featuring our Purple Ink sister, Madalyn Singer, for the first time. It’s going to be a great discussion of Gender and Diversity in Genre Fiction. Visit our Wizard World page on the blog for information on the panelists. July 2015 – Donna A. Leahey has had a short story accepted into the anthology Broken Worlds, which is available on Amazon.
September 2014 – We made it through our first book fair! Booth…candy…books…chatting up passing people… It was a lot of fun. We sold a few books and donated a part of the proceeds to the Tulsa City-County Library’s renovation project.
August 2014 – We braved the ALS ice bucket challenge! Actually… Donna braved the ice. Meg and M.A. were pleased to pour buckets on her, though we both got wet from the splash back. We’re donating a portion of sales in the month of September to ALS in honor of one of Donna’s friends who suffers from this debilitating condition. Glad we can reach out in our own small way and make a difference.
June 2014 – The latest review of Dark and Dangerous Things 2 is up at playwithdeath.com. Four out of five stars ain’t bad!
June 2014 – Margaret Perdue has just published her spooky exorcism novella, Revelation at St. Dominics, as an ebook. It’s a great read!
May 2014 – We’re pleased to announce a new writer on Purple Ink – Madalyn Singer. And we’re also pleased to announce that our newest anthology, “Dark and Dangerous Things 2”, will be coming out soon. This time around, some of the stories are a little mushy. How did that happen? But some of the stories are dark and dangerous too. Stay tuned for the official release date!
